The Sustainable Resource Management (SRM) certification program has been designed by industry experts to provide information on the policies, programs and infrastructure that support Zero Waste. Through SRM strategies, individuals, communities and businesses can learn how to reduce wasted resources, avoid product and transportation related greenhouse gas emissions and work to create a green economy.

The training covers a broad range of topics including: solid waste, recycling, reuse, composting and Zero Waste. This course is ideal for anyone working in these fields looking to gain a solid understanding of the policies, programs, systems, economics and infrastructure to collect, process and manage material resources.

The certification program includes:

-Sixteen (16) online self-paced courses provide 30 hours of learning content; including a CA State-specific class
-Certification test prep class

Earn 3.0 CEUs from San Jose State University and Certificate ($270 paid by student direct to SJSU upon completion of the program).
Accredited by the National Standards Board of the National Recycling Coalition.

*Certification valid for 3 years from completion; thereafter, 10 hours instruction per year required to maintain.
